The Sylacauga Community Playhouse will present William Gibson’s The Miracle Worker. The production tells the story of young Helen Keller, deaf and blind since infancy, who finds her way into the world of knowledge and understanding with the help of Annie Sullivan, her gifted tutor. In some of the most emotion-packed scenes ever presented on stage, Helen overcome rage and confusion to triumph over her physical disabilities. The performances of The Miracle Worker will be at B.B. Comer High School Auditorium on the following dates and times:
• Friday, April 21st at 6:30 p.m.
• Saturday, April 22nd at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
• Sunday, April 23rd at 2 p.m.
• Friday, April 28th at 6:30 p.m.
• Saturday, April 29th at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
• Sunday, April 30th at 2 p.m.


SCP will also be offering six school performances of The Miracle Worker that will be closed to the public. Teachers may contact SCP for pricing, dates, and educational material.


Tickets are available for $15 advance purchase and $18 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at www.scplayhouse.com, from a cast member, or at the Maxye Veazey Center, 2 West 8th Street, Sylacauga, Alabama. The month of December SCP is offering special ticket pricing of $25 for 2 tickets. This pricing is only available at www.splayhouse.com until December 31st. Tickets purchased on-line will be mailed.
