DESCRIPTION:This is Tallassee’s 19th year as a Tree City USA. Again, on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 7:30  a.m. until 9:30 a.m.(or until all tree seedlings have been given away), the Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee will be giving away 1,000  tree seedlings. The seedlings are provided by the Alabama Forestry Commission’s Elmore County office. When you pick up your seedlings, information about the trees and a handout on how to plant the seedlings will be available from the Beautification Committee.
