DESCRIPTION:Lake Martin Resource Association (LMRA), in conjunction with the Montgomery Power Squadron of Alabama Marine Police and Russell Marine, will offer a boating class. The class will be the United States Power Squadron's "Squadron Boating Course," an eight-hour course teaching the basics, as well as the use of marine radios, basic navigation, chart reading, course plotting, piloting and seamanship skills. The cost of the course material is $20. The exam is closed book and the Power Squadron will award successful applicants a certificate, which can be used for obtaining the "V" on a driver's license or equivalent state certificate.
