DESCRIPTION:Seventy-eight thousand-acre Clarks Hill Lake has become one of BASS' favorite destinations in recent years. The 2010 Elite Series tournament will mark the fifth time in six years that BASS has brought its premier tournament series to the reservoir on the Georgia-South Carolina border. In 2007, Mike McClelland became the first angler to win two Elite events. He used a jig to work shallow clay points with scattered patches of rock and catch 70 pounds, 7 ounces of bass over four days. A year earlier, Davy Hite used a jig to catch almost the same weight on his way to victory. In 2008, it was Kenyon Hill's turn. He worked a big plastic worm across main lake points to bag 68 pounds over four days. The key words to remember about Clarks Hill are hydrilla, points and blueback herring. Chances are one or all will play a major role in the outcome of the tournament.
